Qu 4: Target Audiece

Who would be the audience for your media product?

This guy is a famous podcaster. His show name is The Mike and he appears on The Mediocre Show. He is a prefect representation of my target audience. They like to play video games, they are very knowledgeable about technology and gadgets and they will even have most of them. They know that PC gaming is far superior to console gaming but they just prefer the environment, they respect the old style gaming on the SNES or old Saga systems as well as things like Transformers. When they heard about the A-team being brought back they were really excited to see it again. They are fans of tattoos and maybe piercing but they would not get anything “crazy” such as tribal or guns or profanity but more like the Deceptacons and Autobots symbols on their wrists or Space Invaders on theit back. The target audience shop at places such as GAME, GameStation, Curry’s, Comet, PC World. They do not care much about their looks and they would probably buy most of there clothes online on websites such as Rollersnakes.

The masthead 'HaZaa' is kind of like an online term such as “lawl” or “trolling” and hopefully the target audience will be able to recognise the term from socializing online on forum websites and be drawn to the magazine because it is obviously part of 'their world'. On the contents page there is advertising for free posters, my audience love free posters to use for wallpaper for there rooms. On the cover there is the kicker 'Top 50 Best Scottish Bands'. This is a random attraction that my audience will be unable to resist taking a gander at as they probably didn’t even know there was 50 Scottish bands.

The language used on the cover and throughou Hazaa is informal and full of techno jargon which the audience can relate to. Just like the target audience, my magazine doens't take itself too seriously, it's about fun, curiosity and keeping up with the constantly changing music world, especially where it collides with computer technology.

  1. I thank you for the wonderful review. I'm confused as to why you would feature me over all the much more qualified broadcasters but I am honored nonetheless!

    Thanks,
    Tha Mike
